Dr Kon is a Consultant Radiologist at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has developed the cardiac CT service at Bradford for over 10 years and now provides a busy coronary CT service for the region. He is a Level 3 accredited trainer and runs the Level 2 Cardiac CT course at Bradford Teaching Hospitals having taught on over 30 courses.

Dr Philip Marjoram

Dr Marjoram has undertaken his radiology specialist training at the Leeds/ Bradford Radiology Academy, where he developed his subspecialty interests in thoracic imaging, cardiac CT and haematological malignancies. He runs and teaches on the Level 2 Cardiac CT course at Bradford Teaching Hospitals alongside Dr Kon.

Dr Farley is a Consultant Cardiologist at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His subspecialist interests include cardiac imaging and heart failure. During his time as a consultant, Dr Farley has established and leads the Cardiac MRI service at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He also has Level 2 accreditation in Cardiac CT and oversees Cardiac CT lists at the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital.

Dr Low is a Consultant Radiologist at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is a true multi-modality radiologist in cardiac imaging, reporting not only Cardiac CT scans but also Cardiac MRI and Nuclear Perfusion Imaging. Dr Low also leads the Cardiac CT service at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Course Material

Join us for this 1 day Cardiac CT course, which will provide you with an introduction to Cardiac CT with interpretation of 50 cases. Topics covered will include amongst others:

  1. Technical principles of cardiac CT and its application to imaging the heart including gating techniques and radiation dose reduction
  2. Patient preparation including beta blocker use & contrast administration
  3. Cardiac anatomy and physiology as applicable to CT
  4. Basics of cardiac CT interpretation
  5. Current indications and applications of cardiac CT

This course provides 6 CPD credits in accordance with the CPD Scheme of the Royal College of Radiologists.
